It's funny really. My internet was down for two days on our campus due to an anti-virus becoming incompatible with a security client our school makes us install.
The first day wasn't so bad at first. I watched some T.V., I rented some games for the 360, and I watched a couple movies. Being without the internet was proving to be expensive howerver.
On a normal day I'd maybe only pay for something that costs $3. On days where I eat out and have a coffee drink I spend a total of $9. So most days WITH the internet are fairly cheap and manageable.
Now lets take a look at a day WITHOUT the internet.
Food: $7.50
Two Movies: $7
Two Games: $8
Coffee Drink: $3
Total: $25.50
The food and coffee drink are fairly normal, but the 4 rentals from our Hollywood Video are not.
I couldn't believe it. I was trying everything I could do keep myself entertained, but I wanted so badly to sit at my computer and play some games or surf the web and I just couldn't. For one of the first times ever it was completely out of my hands and I couldn't fix the problem. This was driving me kinda crazy. This was not all bad though. I did exercise much more these two days than I usually do, but it was mainly to occupy my mind with something else.
I did learn something about myself though. I used to think that I would stay up really late (Like till 5am) because of some sort of insomnia induced by the computer. But I stayed up till around 5am both nights without the computer. I was just watching TV and playing the hell out of my Xbox 360. It's really bad when you settle in for a session of watching TV and you feel like it's maybe 11am, when it's actually 2am.
My internal clock is so messed up right now. I go to bed around 5am and wake up around 2pm. I know I need to go to sleep earlier, but have you ever tried making yourself go to sleep...yeah, doesn't work. So now I realize that I'm so far gone I'm going to have to pull a 24 hour day. That's right, stay up all night, then all the next day until around 9pm then hit the sack. I've had to do it before and it totally sucks. You get all hot and weird feeling around 3am, then it hits really bad at around 7am. If you can keep yourself busy though it's much easier, but if you hit a lull in the day, it's really easy to lay down on your bed and pass out at around 1pm , which would royally screw you up. So this 24 hour thing is pretty much a go all the way or don't even attempt it.
So obviously I got the internet back. I'm happy I did, got to check my E-mail and play some fun games. It's 3:52am and I'm really not passout tired, but I'm getting there. I'm seriously considering the 24 hour treatment, but I just can't do it. I'd succumb and passout around 2pm if I tried.
Interesting side note:
I've been feeling my heart do some wierd things today. It's not hurting. It just feels like it's flipping upside down and I get this really weird sinking feeling for a split second. It's probably my fault. My body is probably all pissed off I've thrown it off it's normal sleep cycle, and that I'm eating what is essentially my lunch around 12am. Oh well. I guess I can take the long road and go to bed an hour earlier every night until I get back to around 12am (That's normal for me).
I should probably sleep now. I really hate waking up after 12pm everyday so I hope I can get my cycle back on track ASAP.
I wish I had something witty and clever to place here to describe my blog, but I don't.

Home
Home is good!
I haven't really spent time with my parents in good old Gresham all summer, so its great to visit with them. I'm really enjoying just catching up on sleep and hanging out with the cats and Sinbad the dog.
There's something special about home. And it's not necessarily this house that is home, it's where my family is. I've also felt this 'home' feeling with Bryce's family; his mom, and grandma in particular, but not as much as here at my parents house. Someday it won't exactly be that way. I know that when Bryce and I are married and live together that will feel like home too. But there's still something VERY special about visiting Mom and Dad. As for now, Mom and Dad are home, because lets face it, no matter how cozy you make your dorm room, it's still not Home.
I love home!
