Christmas and New Years

It's been awhile since I updated our blog.  Here are some pictures from our first Christmas together and New Years!  We have had a very relaxing break and are looking forward to Winter Term.

Recently

This term is flying by for both Bryce and I.  We have been very busy with school and work, but still find time to have some fun. Married life is GREAT!  We love our cozy (tiny) little apartment.  Recently we splurged to get basic cable because we were tired of renting movies and buying movies on occasion.  It was a really good decision for us, since I love the food channel and we both LOVE the Sci-fi channel and history channel.  I also enjoy watching marathons of America's Next Top Model...Ha Ha. 

Marriage has definitely been good for me!  It has helped me prioritize my life and let go of things that just aren't that important.  And I love being able to come home to someone, especially when I have particularly stressful days.  We are so happy!

In other news, I have started another blog to write about my Arts Administration adventures, which has helped me to reflect on all that I have learned and continue to learn as I dive head first in the arts admin world.  You can read about my adventures at: http://karen-adams.blogspot.com/

Miracle Glee

Last night we were bundling up to go for a walk, because we love going on evening walks in the fall. As we were getting ready to leave Bryce put on his warm vest and was reaching into his pockets and he felt something. He thought it was a a pair gloves, but then he pulled the mysterious item (s) out and lo and behold it was Glee! We thought we had lost her FOREVER.

For those of you who don't know who Glee is, she's a little stuffed green frog that we have taken on all our adventures since sophomore year of college. Bryce's old roommate was sent a care package and the frog was in it and he didn't want it (typical boy) so Bryce thought I would like it. We decided to name it and give it a gender. Since then Glee has been all over the world with us and our friends. She has been to China, France, Scotland, England, and with in the U.S.; Ohio, Medford, California, Seattle. She even went to a Billy Joel concert with my mother and I.

We thought we had lost her after our most recent trip to Odell Lake in July with Bryce's family. We thought we left her in the cabin and some other family took her. We had pretty much given up. Bryce's mom even gave us another little stuffed animal dog for us to take on our travels and we named him Brenard. Now that we have Glee back it seems our little family has grown. We are so excited we found her!

Maybe it seems silly to have little stuffed animals at our age, but it's special to us and there are a lot of wonderful memories associated with Glee.
