Updates...

Less than three weeks left!

This has been a tough term. But, spring term always is. I have been struggling to write this history paper all term. I have ten pages and need 12-15 for a complete draft. I think the writing is ok, but it definitely not my best.

I think this has definitely been a tough term for many reasons. 1. Junior Recital. 2. Spring fever! 3. Taking too much on in general! But it's almost overall, and I 'm just trying to get through it.

Next...

I went to the first Summer Staff Meeting for Conference Assistants and Desk Attendants tonight. I learned I will be living on the first floor of Heritage! I'm glad because I won't have to carry my stuff up and down a bunch of stairs! I think it is going to be a fun summer! Our theme is going to be a cruise ship theme!

Church...

I'm trying to think of ways to try and bridge to intergenerational gaps we have in our church. I really believe in the verses of 2 Corinthians 8 : 5-7 . "the first offered themselves up unto God and then to others" (my best paraphrase...lol). I believe we as the church are not only called to worship God but to help build each other up. Love your God and love your neighbor as yourself are the two greatest commandments that Jesus teaches about. I thought that one way to build relationships would be to offer to help some of the older people with yardwork, grocery shopping, housework, etc. However, I do not know how to go about doing this, because for some of the women of this generation pride is a major issue. I think it will also be a matter of just getting to know people.

We are also trying to work on better music. We need to slow down some of our tempos and give our contemporary song a more 'blues-y' feel.

My brain hurts...lol..
