Recently, while doing desk duty at the RSC, a co-worker introduced me to Pandora radio! It is awesome! I love being able to create individualized 'radio' stations with my interests. They even have opera. Pandora is keeping me entertained particularly today, because I have 6 hours of desk duty, all by myself. I'm grooving to Billy Joel, and similar artists. I can tell today is going to be a very slow today. Not only is it going to almost 100 degrees, it is a Saturday and all the large camps are gone.
The worse part, the WOU server is down. Which keeps me from cashing in, checking email, etc. VERY FRUSTRATING! I figured that to help past the time I could at least blog

Also, I'm fighting a lovely cold/sinus infection. I keep waking up in the middle of the night coughing, and feeling 'icky stuff' drain down the back of my throat...gross! I had to take my inhaler for the first time in years today!
I hope I feel better for church tomorrow.
Next in updates, I'm trying to practice piano/voice a little bit everyday. When I'm sick it is more difficult to motivate myself, but I have been doing a little. I'm just trying to keep my fingers nimble and keep my voice warm. I'm contemplating putting on a little recital towards the end of the summer. I think it would be fun to do piano and voice. The Recital Hall is currently under construction, but I could probably use the church.
So hopefully I will feel better by monday and get back on track with practicing, etc. I don't want to lose what I've gained this year.
Otherwise things are good. I'm just trying to take things one day at a time. During the summer I tend to get thinking too much and start worrying about my future, when I just need to do what I can today and let things go. Much easier said than done.

My summer is off to an awesome start!
Training is over and we had our biggest/busiest day of the summer on Sunday! Phew!
I'm really loving my job! My co-workers and my supervisors are awesome and I am learning a lot from them. I'm really beginning to see myself being good as an Arts Administrator. I really like helping put events together and planning and working with others. I like being busy! And to be able to combine leadership/organization skills with my musical experiences will be awesome! Don't get me wrong, I will always love performing, but I just don't see myself living the lifestyle of a major performer. I want to settle somewhere, get married, have kids, and be part of a community. Who knows, maybe I'll work for a college or university!
Other news...
July 3-6th I FINALLY get to go to the famed Odell Lake, where Bryce's dad has a cabin. Bryce and I are going to visit for that weekend! I'm so excited to hike and maybe go fishing!
August 19-23 Bryce and I are going to Medina, Ohio to visit his Aunt and Uncle and their children. There is apparently a really great roller coaster park nearby, so we will definitely be hitting that up!

First Henkle
Well, I'm almost completely moved in to First Henkle. It has been quite the task packing up everything! I have a lot of clothes, shoes and music. Bryce was extremely helpful.
Last night I was all alone in my hall in Arby. It was lonely, but not scary. The same is going on here in Heritage. I'm all alone on my floor, but I still feel very secure here. They've done even more work on heritage since I last saw it; new carpets, lighting fixtures, etc. The lounge on the second floor is awesome! And, they have a very large t.v.!
Above all, I'm excited to have my own bathroom! With a bathtub!
This week is going to be BUSY! Today's training was long, and somewhat tedious, but still important. Thrown on top of that is moving in, and preparing bulletin boards and signs for our hall (s), room checks, and a big conference check in on Sunday. I think I may be spending a late night or two to try and get the signs done. Oh well, that's kind of what college is about.
I'm starting to get to know my co-workers better. They are a good group of people and I think I will enjoy working with them this summer.
I'm exhausted, and I know I will sleep well tonight!
